No worries, they didn’t happen yet. This year’s event is January 31 /February 1st.
These images are from last year. I’m already psyched to get into the If you have the time, roll on over and check out the races; the racers have always been really nice to talk to, and approachable, and the races themselves are really fun to check out and shoot. I’ll be there again this year, probably running around and lying on my stomach, trying to get some good angles. Chocorua Lake is a great location, and looking out at Mount Chocorua itself can be breathtaking. These races are dead on awesome for photo opportunities; there’s a lot of personality, candids, and action.
Mushing has always been something I’ve been really interested in. There’s something about the complexity of the harnesses, the excitement of the dogs, the primitive aspect… it’s just plain cool. See you there!
